FosterParentCollege.com® and Child Welfare League of America Collaborate to Provide CEUs for Social Workers

November 17, 2015

Eugene, OR — Northwest Media, Inc., parent company of FosterParentCollege.com, is proud to announce the availability of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for social workers. These CEUs are offered through a partnership with the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) and the National Association of Social Workers-Washington State Chapter.

FosterParentCollege.com is committed to helping children in care thrive. Over the past decade, FPC has developed more than 40 online courses, providing foster, adoptive, and kinship parents the information and skills needed to create an environment in which children can grow to their fullest potential. These self-paced courses are available 24/7 and feature up-to-date strategies and real-life vignettes. Through our partnerships with CWLA and the National Association of Social Workers-Washington State Chapter, continuing education credits are now available on all FPC courses.

This new professional development opportunity, emphasizes trauma-informed care and provides the same online training offered to caregivers-an approach congruent with CWLA's Model of Practice which emphasizes "one voice" for the entire child welfare team.
