FosterParentCollege.com® and Child Welfare League of America Collaborate to Strengthen the Quality of Foster Care and Adoption Services

May 26, 2015

Eugene, OR — FosterParentCollege.com and CWLA have joined together to introduce an innovative approach for training potential foster and adoptive parents. Their hybrid approach joins the qualities of the established CWLA PRIDE Model of Practice used throughout the USA with the high quality, interactive web-based courses developed by FosterParentCollege.com. One of the many benefits from this hybrid design is fidelity in parent training while recognizing local requirements for adoptive and foster parents.

FosterParentCollege.com's web-based courses are proven effective. The courses are available 24/7 and feature up-to-date strategies, real-life examples, and interactive sessions. Together CWLA and FPC will provide quality, standardized training for diverse families by incorporating online training with the strengths of in-person group sessions and family assessment consultation. This collaboration will cut in-person meeting time, provide consistent training, and let parents learn at their own pace.

For the past 10 years, FosterParentCollege.com has studied and provided interactive online training for foster, adoptive, and kinship parents.
