FosterParentCollege.com® materials can be an informative and convenient way for CASA/GAL volunteers to learn about the challenges facing both youth in care and foster parents. As a CASA/GAL volunteer, these materials will be most useful when you view them through the lens of your four primary roles: to examine the situation, facilitate a collaborative relationship between all parties involved in the case, advocate in court for the child's best interest and keep track of whether the orders of the court are being carried out.

Welcome to the FosterParentCollege.com® (FPC) training center. FPC offers courses on general parenting and on problem behaviors. Courses are research-based, interactive, self-paced, and available 24/7 for maximum convenience.
Each online course includes a 30- to 40-minute video presentation with dramatic vignettes, interviews and instruction, a review, printable summaries and handouts, and unlimited access to a discussion board on that topic.
The cost is $10 per unit, and most classes cost one unit and yield 2 hours of training credit, which are accepted by CASA/GAL toward your annual training requirements.
