  • Training classes for potential Arizona foster families now offered online.

    "The Arizona Department of Child Safety is making it easier for potential foster parents to complete the necessary training classes to become licensed. In the past, the department required prospective foster parents to attend 40 hours of in-person training. To make the process easier, DCS is now offering a 'pre-training program' called Foster Parent College."

  • Parental Advice: Eugene Company Offers Online Training for Foster Parents.

    "The California Department of Social Services has contracted to use FosterParentCollege.com, an online resource developed by Eugene-based Northwest Media Inc., to train parents of foster and adopted children. The big California contract adds momentum for FosterParentCollege.com, which was launched in 2005 and is used by 102,500 parents throughout the United States. 'Word of mouth is what it's all about in this industry,' said Northwest Media's founder and owner Lee White."
